How do you handle anger?

“If you are patient in one moment of anger, you will escape a hundred days of sorrow.”  (Chinese Proverb)

Irritations come daily. Often temper is held in a business setting only to be vented on a family member for a minor mistake.

Remember the word “anger” is only one letter short of the word “danger.”

Remember that trying to unsay some cutting remark is just about as easy as putting toothpaste back into a tube.

So you and I need to ask God for the wisdom to be patient in “the moment of anger.”  He promises to supply wisdom if we ask in faith and trust.

“Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and give no place for the devil.”  Ephesians 4:26, 27

CARPE DIEM (Seize the Day)

This day is “opportunity gift wrapped in a few short hours.”

Seize this day with the determination that you are going to make a step towards being the person that you want to be.  You will discover that if you “begin to weave, God will give you the thread.”

                  REMEMBER

        Habits are “trait jackets.”

The good ones have to be cultivated.

        The bad ones grow wild.

For all of us life presents the choice of “more rigor” or “rigor mortis.”  Choose “life as the journey of long obedience” in God’s direction rather than stagnation and death in the blind alley of careless indifference.  

"What Attitude Characterizes Your Life?"

                        Methuseiah lived 969 years; Abraham’s age was 

                        175 years.  Of Methuseiah little is known while 

                        Abraham’s influence directed the mainstream 

                        of history pointing to the coming of Jesus, 

                        the Messiah.

Question for both of us:  What attitude is 

going to characterize my life:  mere existence 

or genuine accomplishment?

I must be honest with myself.  I must examine 

my life style in relation to God and to those 

about me.

I must be willing to demand something of 

myself instead of being indifferent or a 

chronic complainer.

I must not allow the calendar to fool me.  

I have only as many days as I choose to use.

REMEMBER WHAT THE WORLD IS 

COMING TO…DEPENDS UPON WHEN, 

IF EVER, YOU AND I COME TO!

THIS IS GOD'S WORLD

God is not baffled or bewildered because of the

muddle that we make of things…

So regardless of the critical hours of anxiety on a national

and international level…

                       

                        We must remember…

Our strength lies in a quiet confidence that God will not desert us…

SO WE MUST NOT TURN FROM HIM

This is God’s world…He has come into our history through Jesus…

upon this foundation of faith not even death can ultimately defeat us!
