A Self-Examination:
Since I want to be treated with
respect, how long has it been since I have begun a day by attempting to start
an “epidemic of courtesy?”
Since I admire (perhaps
grudgingly) someone who is efficient in her/his work, how long has it been
since I have examined my life style in relation to “honest to goodness”
self-improvement in my skills?
Since I am impressed by someone
who is able to face life with courage in spite of circumstances, because of
that one’s faith in God, have I taken seriously the words of Jesus, “Seek
first the kingdom
of God
