Do you ever disappoint God?

It is better to show a person how to get on than to tell him where to get off.

By carefully pointing out what needs to be done, WE will encourage the other person to do a good job.  We are letting that person know of our confidence and trust.

An expression of encouragement to a young person today could mean the difference between success and failure.

An expression of trust in a family member could create an atmosphere of love that would benefit all concerned.

God patiently teaches us “how to get on.”  He will supply the wisdom that WE need in making vital decisions of life.  He believes in US.  WE MUST NOT DISAPPOINT HIM.

Have you been disappointed lately?

“…been disappointed recently?”
Probably your answer, “Yes!”

But what can a person do?

Turning to unchecked, self-pity will create a spiritual acid capable of destroying one’s emotional fabric.

THEREFORE:

MAKE TIME to count some good things…not easy but possible.

DETERMINE to do something worthwhile for another. This is a painful exercise for one’s emotional muscles.  This calisthenic does wonders for the dedicated practitioner, however.

REMEMBER God is concerned about your hurts.  The fact that Jesus came into our history is proof of that concern!

CONSIDER there is an “afterwards.”  The capacity to hope is one of the distinguishing factors of being human.  Only humans can dream…with perseverance some dreams can be fulfilled.

"WHAT IS THE COST?"

The cost of excellence is discipline.
The cost of being “just average” is disappointment.
It is better to master one mountain than to climb a
thousand foothills.

            You and I must decide:
                        WHETHER WE WILL BE ENGROSSED
                                      BY THE TRIVIAL
                                                OR
                                                 ENRICHED BY THE ETERNAL.

We must choose to fill our moments with faith in God to prevent our years being packed with fear.  Daily devotion to the Creator will prevent our lives being undermined by nagging doubts.

‘FEAR GOD AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, FOR THIS IS THE WHOLE DUTY OF MAN.” (Ecclesiastes 12:12)
